You will need to download VMplayer and VM Converter from the VMware website (they are both free)
You will need to enter the BIOS of your new machine to confirm that the VT extensions are enabled (usually under the Advanced tab)
boot your machine and install VM Player on the new machine and then install VM Converter on your old machine and then as Rick says follow wizard driven conversion.
