vCenter 5.0 Default Login

I have setup a test lab in preparation to move our production vCenter 5.0 SQLExpress database to SQL Server and eventually get our hosts and vCenter upgraded to 5.1.

My problem is that I have a vanilla install of vCenter Server 5.0 using SQLExpress and when asked what credentials to use, I left it as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.  While logged into the vCenter server, I'm unable to logon using the vSphere client or when trying register the vCenter Server from https://localhost:9443/admin-app/.  Both return the message "cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password".  I went through my documentation and didn't find another area where I had to enter credentials.  When I look at the SQLExpress DB with SQL management server it shows my account used for installation as the dbOwner but neither that account or any combination of the SYSTEM account name and blank password allow me to login.

This is my first attempt at vCenter 5.0 install so my guess is I have missed something obvious, any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

D
